My husband and I spent our Summer holiday here from the 18th to the 25th of June.
It's a 4-star hotel, in the past, the owner was a single person but now the property and the management belong to Futura Vacanza.
During the booking, I had some problems with Futura Vacanza, but thanks to Francesco and his proficiency (a receptionist that work there since the old manging) all things were solved.
The hotel is nearby the countryside of Otranto, exactly in the Baia dei Turchi that is named the beach as well. There aren't other hotels close to the structure, this makes the place very silent.
The architecture reminds a typical east style, but more Moroccan than Turkic, but it's no problem, the atmosphere is beautiful after all. It's a Childfree hotel and I think it's important if you are looking for a completely relaxing vacation.
Very big and comfortable room, mine, on the 1st floor, had a balcony. About the cleanliness of the rooms, I can say it was ok.
The hotel is far from the beach few kilometers, you can go to the beach on foot, it's a 15 minutes walk into the countryside, but cause high temperature we preferred to take the shuttle reserved for the guests, there are one every 15 minutes and in five minutes you are on the beach.
The beach is amazing, you have to walk into "Macchia Mediterranea" (Mediterranean scrub) and after that, a wonderful clear blue sea will be in front of you. The beach is for the exclusive use of the guests. There is a man named Amadou, he is very kind and helps you with everything.
We bought a Half board reservation. The breakfast was International with wide choice and abundance. The dinner included an appetizer buffet, a choice between two first and second dishes, meat o fish generally, and a Buffet of desserts and fruits. Liscia or sparkling water was served in a closed bottle. The quality of the food was very good, but I loved especially the cakes.
Unfortunately, the service restaurant wasn't so good, many waiters were so youngers for a 4-star hotel. It was clear that they were inexperienced. I hope that the manager improves this aspect!!
About entertainment for me was good, I don't like many activities, especially when they are chaotic, but everything was equilibrated. In the evening there was a piano Bar and the Singer, Azis, was good.
In the hotel there is also a big swimming pool, very beautiful, so you can choose where to stay. I couldn’t help but notice that the swimming pool needs some maintenance.
We stayed here for a short time in September, it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The cost was 200 euros per night per couple including evening meal. It was advertised as having 6 different restaurants to choose from. On …
This hotel confused me . Our four days there are best described as odd. ||Firstly the good. The hotel was clean and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The pool is huge and there is shuttle access to an attractive beach where the …
We originally booked 6 nights here but actually left after only one. I could probably stop there, but… just to give a flavour…||||General ‘feel’ and state of repair of the place is poor, e.g. the so-called “Garden Restaurant” looks like …
Better than Croatia and Greek Islands.
As an Australian tourist I was lucky to stay at Baia Del Turchi resort in Southern Italy. I did not know of the region until my Italian friend told me that all the Italians.come here during their summer months. I now know why!!!. This area is an untouched paradise compared to the rest of Mediterranean Europe. Baroque history at the castles, cheap prices (compared to everywhere else) and sensational food and parties. For this luxury hotel, it was very friendly and has class that only the Italians know how to do. It was nice to have a break from normal Australian beach culture. The pool is fantastic and I also spent the day at their private beach in Alimini. The food at the resort is a mixture of "Atypico" Puglian and contemporary Italian with the normal italiano favorites also with Moroccan and exotic foods. I highly recommend this luxury experience at Baia Del Turchi, in a region that will one day be the jewel of Europe. Thankyou Baia Del Turchi and I will be back. Kate Della Australiano
All good apart from the very loud AC and not so great matrace
Crowded traditional italian beaches. The water is usually calm and clear. Lots of unexpensive food options though don't expect high quality food.
Happy with the hotel in every sense. Very happy with Carina for recommending this place.||||Fantastic place, and great service level by the staff. From the first minute on, you will feel that everyone is oriented to making you feel the best possible time.
